Seven unbeaten prospects are training together in top Liverpool gym
The century-old Everton Red Triangle Gym in Liverpool currently has a septet of unbeaten professional boxers who were all amateur champions together.
With a combined record of 35 fights undefeated between them, the talented crop of prospects are trained by ERT head coach Paul Stevenson, who has also recently guided current Team GB amateur starlet Peter McGrail to the next Olympic Games.
The historic club has had success with other pros in the past, most notably the ‘Ice Man’ Kevin Satchell, who started training with ERT as 12-year-old novice that went on to win three national amateur titles to then become British, Commonwealth and European champion in just 16 professional contests, retiring unbeaten.
The club’s history is rich and impressive, and this current class of youngsters are continuing the triumphant traditions.
